Jim Ryan is a Chicago based radio and television broadcaster, reporter and freelance writer.
Since 2003, Jim has reported news and traffic on Chicago radio stations like WGN, WBEZ (NPR), WCPT, WLUP, WDRV and more. Jim also works on camera, in studio delivering traffic at WMAQ TV, Chicago's NBC affiliate, where he's also worked as an airborne reporter since 2007. You can also catch Jim on camera in Chicago at CLTV and WGN TV.
Jim hosts The Rock N' Roll Radio Program Saturday mornings at 10AM eastern on WHFB and Sunday afternoons at 3PM central on WIMS. The one hour weekly show has featured an eclectic mix of artist interviews and featured music since 2011.
As a music writer for the Tribune Company blogsite ChicagoNow, Jim has conducted over 100 artist interviews and written nearly 150 concert reviews since 2011. Jim is a lifelong resident of the Chicagoland area who grew up in the south suburbs and currently resides in the city's East Lakeview neighborhood on Chicago's north side.
